Understanding Global Fan Culture in the Digital Age: Fan Behavior as Discrimination, Productivity, and Capital Accumulation
To complete my International Studies Minor, I worked extensively on this independent study, analyzing fan culture in the digital age. I completed five case studies which detailed various fan cultures in five different regions, conducted a comparative analysis, and compared my findings to John Fiske’s (1992) model of the cultural economy. This 39 page paper was a labor of time and love!
